The Wiggly Word is a new community website for the local music scene. Portland has given me so much. Great friends, amazing surroundings, incredible energy, and more quality music than this city can almost handle. From Horning's Hideout to The Fez Ballroom, from the 45th ST. Pub to The Alberta Street Pub music is apart of the core fabric of the community that is Portland, OR. No matter what kind of music you listen to, we all hear the heartbeat of humanity. It helps make life a little easier in an evermore chaotic world. It's the only thing ALL of humanity can really understand, cause its been there since the begining of time. The first drums were beat giving thanks for the extistance of all life. And it is still, one of the few places that we can all come together and give thanks. With my site I hope to personify this thinking, and help promote the high quality of life that live music gives us. In the big picture my website is a small contribution to the music. I can't do much but, I will do what I can. So Ladies and Gentlemen, Friends and Family, I give you The wigglyword.com.

Now I do have a favor I have to ask. In order for me to be effective in posting these shows I have to hear about them. And you guys and gals, are the best resource for this because it's for the music community, and you are... that community. If you hear of a show, a benifit or any other event that people would love to see, e-mail me. As a small token, if your event is listed due to your e-mail i'll send you a Wigglyword sticker. There will be a e-mail list soon and Bi-monthy newletter sent as soon as the website is fully funtional. You can see the Newsletter at the website location currently at the above address. This is gonna be alot of fun, and hopefully it will give a little something back.

I also would like to have a Featured show of the Month, maybe Bi-monthly, we'll see how things go. If you know of a good show that would make a great Feature let me know far enough in advance (somewhere in the neighborhood of at least 1 month) so that I can check into it. A Preview of the show as well as a review and free MP3 download so people can hear music and form there own about the show. Opinions and postings about the review and download will hopefully be available on a message board in the near future. Like I said this is a community and I do want feedback. I can't do this without that.
